This month's fresh and bright colour palette was inspired by the luscious deep ruby red colour of the pomegranate seeds.
Looking at the colours of the other elements of the dish - the golden brown pancakes and the peachy pink grapefruit segments, I decided that to make these three colours really stand out, I wanted a neutral white background.
The pink floral fabric harmonises with the ruby tones of the colour scheme and accentuates the darker coloured pomegranate seeds.
